Valentine's Day with Metropolitan Martinis

It is hard to believe that Christmas and the New Year’s festivities have gone and past. We are all now well into January and are back hard at work.

All the stores have switched out all of their holiday decorations and are now boasting all the new trends for spring. And if you don’t realize, spring is the season of love, with all the brides to be planning their upcoming nuptials and of course, Valentine’s Day!

For some this may be a stressful day but for others it’s a joyous occasion shared with their cherished ones. Either way both are good reasons to enjoy a good drink, for instance a nice tall glass of ready to serve Metropolitan Martinis. It is perfect to be enjoyed at home, without the hassle of buying all the different mixers. It is also perfect for any one who is considering throwing a bash this Valentine’s Day. The drinks are great as they only need to be chilled before serving, giving you time to worry about the other 999 things you have to do for the party. Another plus is the red color of the Cosmopolitan Metropolitan Martini and the white of the Vodka Metropolitan Martini is perfect for any Valentine themed party. This would also be good as a gift to a friend that has everything or for someone who you just can’t figure out what to get, the pairing of the red and white martinis would make a perfectly themed colorful and delicious gift.

Metropolitcan Martini at Miami White Party Week

Miami White Party Week came to a close this past weekend and the turn out was better than ever. The Pool Party was especially a splash with the Metropolitan Martinis flowing, becoming a big hit for the partygoers. It was a great way to enjoy the poolside, sipping on the delectable martinis, which added color to the all white event.

Seen below are just some of the attendees who enjoyed the ready to serve martinis, event the bartender was happy with the minimal amount of work it takes to get the party started.

Party for a Cause

Is anyone planning to go to Miami this November? If you are, don’t forget to check out White Party Week. It’s happening between the 21st and 26th of November. The week will be jammed pack with many events. Just to mention a few, there will be the Cirque Blanc 8 event, a women white party with over 1500 lovely ladies all dressed in white. It will be one of the best events of the season. But the guys don’t have to feel left out, Out Magazine and INC are also hosting an event called “Out is INC” with a fashion show of the latest INC Men’s Collection. Not to mention there will also be such hot DJ’s as Pat Pat and performers like Darren Hayes among many others. To get more info on the many more events visit their website at http://www.whiteparty.org/home.html.
The event also has many great sponsors including Miami Living, Roberto Cavalli Vodka, Orbitz and Mystique Brands (They are giving out samples of their Metropolitan Martinis, so don’t forget to try them out).

And what’s great about White Party Week is that it’s all for a good cause. By attending and making donations, you are helping to raise money for Care Resource, an organization working to help provide HIV/AIDS services.

So if you don’t have any plans for the holidays yet, it’s not too late to get your plane tickets.

My Mojito

I was in China town and bought a whole sprig of mint the other day. At the time I thought that I would use it to cook up something, but I couldn't think of anything except to make a Mojito.
Now I am terrible at making my own drinks, but this one I thought should be simple enough. Although Mojito is more of a summer drink but its been so hot here in New York that it feels just like summer.

What I did was took a glass and filled the bottom with a whole bunch of mint leaves, took a round edge object (a spoon might work too) and just mashed the leaves up, I am assuming that this is suppose to release the oils from the mint. But any way then I added some rum (which ever brand you like), then some club soda and then some syrup. Don't ask me what proportions I used. I am one of those people who never measure. I am for adding and then taking a sip. If its missing something, then add some more. This way you will get the Mojito exactly to your liking. I know I did!

Justice @ Terminal 5

Last Night I went to watch Justice in Concert. After waiting in a very long line (never getting tickets through will call ever again), once I got into the club it was a huge empty space with a stage set up. I was there at 7 on the dot, Justice was coming on at 9.45. After waiting for about an hour and a half listening to the house Dj's mix, the opening band came on. I didn't catch their name but from their accent I think they're an English band. Expecting it to be like any other opening band, placed there just to buy some time for the real band to come on. They were actually really good and got the crowd going. After playing for an hour, Justice was getting ready to come on.

The stage people were setting up for Justice, unveiling a huge tower of speakers. ( I thought to myself if this going to be the night I loose my hearing, it might as well be while listening to good music) When the two members of Justice walked up the stage, the crowd went wild. What I hadn't realize was that during the nearly 3 hour wait, people had started to gather behind me filling up the club. The club had a limit of only 2400 people but I have an inkling that there were more.

But once the band started playing, it was really crazy. The crowd started pushing and pulling each other. It was like being in a giant human wave pool. I started off being 5 feet away from the stage but was caught in a wave that took be further back about another 5 feet. The pushing and pulling I didn't mind so much but the stepping on my feet was too much. I should remind myself the next concert I go to , wear steel-toed boots! But once I found a nice spot to stand, I was finally able to enjoy the music. This was the second time that I have seen them play. The first time was in France in an open air concert, but this one the sound was a whole lot better.

They of course played their famous track, D.A.N.C.E and many others. But the best was when they turned down the music and the crowd sang along. Their was of course also the famous cloud of smoke hovering over Xavier, with his signature mixing up while lighting up and Gaspard making the cross to the crowd, pumping them up. The crowd loved it so much that, when they were finished and went off stage, the crowd started screaming for an encore performance. They could not disappoint the fan, playing a final track before finishing their last day gig on this side of the pond.

The New Party Helper

A friend of mine recently had a birthday bash at her place; at the party she was serving drinks called Metropolitan Martinis. I had never seen them before. They are “ready-to-serve” drinks that come ready in acrylic martini glasses. I thought that it was a really innovative idea especially for people like my friend and I who don’t really have the time or the skills to prepare drinks for a party and no budget to hire a private bartender. This also gave her time to mingle with the guests, no more running around getting people their drinks. The guests could help themselves.

The drinks themselves were also really tasty! I sometimes find that the ready-to-serve beverages we can get today mean giving up taste for convenience. But with these martinis, this was not the case.

I have to say that the next time I throw a party; I’m stocking my bar with these stylish and convenient Metropolitan Martinis. Check them out on www.mystiquebrands.com!
